With more than 20 years of experience, Klinkhamer | conferences & events has been organising international conferences and events that facilitate real knowledge exchange. We are an IAPCO-certified Professional Congress Organizer (PCO) and association management company – working for governments, universities, scientific societies and corporate organisations.

Your role: (Junior) Project Manager
As a (Junior) Project Manager you help turn complex conferences into smooth, well-organised experiences. You are part of a project team and, step by step, you grow towards taking ownership of your own projects.
You will:

Support and manage conferences and events from A to Z

Coordinate with clients, speakers, sponsors and suppliers

Work closely with colleagues in registration, abstract handling, web development and design

Monitor timelines, budgets and project deliverables

Help translate client needs into clear planning and practical actions

Spot risks and opportunities and contribute ideas for improvement

Occasionally travel to conferences on-site, in the Netherlands and abroad
What you bring
You don’t have to tick every box to apply – we value potential, attitude and willingness to learn.

A completed MBO or HBO (associate/bachelor’s) degree, preferably in event management, communications, hospitality or a related field
-
1–3 years of relevant experience in events, hospitality, project coordination or similar (more experience is a plus)

Strong organisational skills: you enjoy structure, lists and deadlines

Clear and confident communication skills, also under time pressure

Proactive, hands-on mindset: you like to solve things rather than wait

Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written

Affinity with international environments and working with different cultures
