Following the success of the PROSA2024 conference, Klinkhamer organized the fourth European Conference on Pediatric Procedural Comfort, Sedation and Analgesia — a two-day interdisciplinary meeting held on 10–11 September 2026 in Maastricht, with unique pre-conference learning opportunities on 9 September.
PROSA2026 brought together pediatricians, emergency physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, pain specialists, psychologists, child life specialists and researchers from across the pediatric care spectrum, united under the theme "From Fear to Trust: Making Medicine a Safer Place for Children."
The conference moved beyond traditional lectures, offering flexible, small-group workshops and hands-on sessions designed around specific learning objectives — alongside expanded networking opportunities with international leaders in pediatric sedation and procedural care.
PROSA2026 was endorsed by ESPA and supported by a range of pharmaceutical and healthcare sponsors, including a memorable contribution from children's charity Charlie Braveheart, who provided LEGO MRI scanners for young patients throughout the conference.

Through our many years of working together, they know exactly what we need. They think alongside us, take care of all the practicalities, and give us the space to focus fully on the content.
