NVvP, the Dutch Association for Psychiatry, is a membership association representing over 3,500 psychiatrists and psychiatrists in training across the Netherlands. Its Voorjaarscongres (Spring Congress) is a highlight of the association's year — a three-day scientific programme built around plenary sessions with national and international guest speakers, alongside a parallel programme of submitted abstracts.
For a number of years, Klinkhamer has proudly taken care of the logistical organisation of this annual congress, supporting the association's members with a seamless, well-run event year after year.
The 2026 edition took place from 15–17 April at MECC Maastricht, under the theme "From Insight to Impact: Psychiatry in Motion" — bringing together more than 2,000 psychiatrists, residents and researchers from across the country to discuss the latest developments in the field.
Alongside the scientific programme, this year's congress featured a themed 1980s party night and a sponsored charity run in support of the Axon Psychiatric Specialty Hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan — reflecting the strong sense of community that runs through the NVvP's annual gathering.
