The European Symposium on Poultry Nutrition (ESPN) is one of the leading international conferences in the field of poultry nutrition. The 2025 edition took place from 23–25 June at MECC Maastricht and was organised by the national branches of the World's Poultry Science Association (WPSA).
Held every two years in a different European host country, the symposium brings together experts from across the continent and beyond — scientists, researchers, nutritionists, and industry professionals gathering to exchange knowledge and present new findings.
Key topics included sustainable feeding strategies, alternative protein sources, and the influence of nutrition on animal health and environmental impact — alongside an exhibition showcasing industry innovations and a full social programme.
A special emphasis was placed on young researchers, who were encouraged to present their work, connect with peers, and engage with leading experts in the field.
